Traction–Decompression Therapy
At some point in life, every one of us has experienced acute pain in the spine. This may be pain in the lumbar or cervical region, pain associated with problems in the intervertebral discs, arthritic changes in the facet joints, or pain along the course of the nerves. These conditions require timely treatment that reduces the pain syndrome and creates the right conditions for recovery.
The causes of these conditions can be numerous and varied: poor posture and body alignment, advancing age, or direct trauma resulting from sport or a car or workplace accident.
Traction–decompression therapy is a procedure that involves gentle stretching of the spine by means of a high-tech motorised traction table, designed to reduce the pressure on the spine.
During the therapy, negative pressure is applied to the intervertebral discs, which act like gel-filled cushions. This process allows more oxygen, blood, water and nutrients to reach them, accelerating the recovery process. To make the therapy as effective as possible, all the specific features of the patient's condition are taken into account and an individual treatment plan is drawn up.
